How are timezones handled?

The tool uses JavaScript's native Intl.DateTimeFormat with explicit timeZone identifiers like 'America/New_York'. Daylight saving is applied automatically by the browser.

Can I add more cities?

This version shows five popular cities plus your local one. A customizable list is on the roadmap.

How is the UTC offset computed?

The tool formats the current instant in the target zone and in UTC, then computes the difference. This accounts for DST transitions correctly.

Why does my city not show as 'Local'?

The local entry uses your browser's reported timezone. If it shows a generic city name (like the last segment of your IANA zone), that's expected — your clock is still accurate.

Does it work offline?

Yes. No network requests are made; all timezone data is supplied by your browser's Intl implementation.
