Is the font really Impact?

The canvas uses the system Impact font with “Arial Black” as a fallback. Most desktops and many mobile devices have Impact installed; if not, a heavy sans-serif is used so the look stays close.

Why is there a black outline?

The outline guarantees the text is readable on any background — bright skies, dark scenes, busy textures — which is the classic meme aesthetic.

How long can the captions be?

Up to 80 characters each. Long lines wrap onto a second line; longer text is truncated to keep the meme readable.

Does the export use the full-resolution image?

Yes. The preview is capped to ~600px for speed, but the downloaded PNG is rendered at the source image's natural resolution with the captions baked in.
